Old Slides
Nikki and I were going through some old slides and I took some time to take some pictures of them to share. These are all from 1999. It’s pretty interesting to see 10 years later all my favorites have Nikki in them. We’ve been to some incredible places.
RI Airshow 2008
Went to the RI Airshow on Saturday. We had a few members of my photography site come over to shoot it as well, then we had an awesome BBQ on the deck afterwards. We all had a ton of fun, and got some decent images even though it was hazy. Most of us also got sunburned pretty bad as well as we all forgot lotion in all the excitement. Enjoy the shots below!
2 weeks late?
OK, I’m a little behind on the updates… sorry! It’s been super busy. We had Lora and Chris’ wedding last weekend with the rehearsal on Sunday and the Wedding on Monday. So with all the other things going on in our life as well as that I’m a little behind. These are most of the shots from the last 2 weeks. I’m missing a few days that are in the P&S (but I don’t know where that is and I don’t want to wake anyone looking). Also, for Friday’s shots, check my other site here as I shot the start of the Bermuda Race Friday afternoon.
Chris & Lora’s Wedding
Nikki’s cousin Lora got married Monday! It was an awesome wedding at the Glenn in Portsmouth. Nikki was in the wedding, so that meant I was Elias’ handler the entire night. Check out the shots as you’ll see some very interesting shots of me with Elias throughout the night, as well as Nikki and of course the bride and groom. Elias tried to make it through the ceremony, but only made it about 5 minutes in. He was fine for the 15 minutes we were sitting waiting though, so I guess I used up his quiet time. We snuck out the back (it was outside) so we wouldn’t disturb the ceremony.
I couldn’t really shoot how I normally would since Elias was strapped to my chest the entire wedding. Instead I shot with 1 body and 1 lens the whole time. Lora and Chris, we wish you the best and had an awesome time! We wish we could join you on your extended European honeymoon!
Enjoy!
Elias 13 week update!
Elias is now officially 3 months old. He’s getting a ton bigger and more active. He can roll from his belly to his back pretty much at will now. He’s talking (baby talk) up a storm these days. We try to keep him going as long as possible asking him questions and whatnot. I’m sure we look ridiculous, but it’s fun regardless. Nikki’s also back to work officially. She had her first week with a full shifts and Elias was at “Debbie Daycare”! He’s here at the house with Debbie when Nikki’s working. It’s been a huge relief for us to have her doing that for us. Not only is it at our house, but more importantly it’s someone we trust him with w/o a second thought…
This weekend was a bunch of fun for us. Leo Bontiff is still in town (up from avalanche’s delivery from Antigua) so he, dad and I sailed sluff around Jamestown Sunday. Check out the video:
That’s Leo driving at a solid 10kts of boat speed. He’d never driven a small sailboat, but has sailed on larger boats plenty, and was accustomed to tillers from motorboats. He picked it up w/o a second thought. We (the boys) did get into a little trouble Saturday though as we were supposed to be home by 5~6pm for Dinner with Mom, Nikki and Elias. We went around the island, but the problem is you can’t cut it short when you’re late… So we ended up getting home a bit after 8 for an awesome dinner…
Sunday Nikki had a girls day out in preparation for Laura’s wedding. I got to watch Elias all day and was with him alone for a solid 6 hours. We had a ton of fun, but didn’t do much as it was well over 80º and humid all day. Luckily I’d put the AC in for Nikki Saturday morning.
