D&B Friday night NSOP meet.
Well we had a group meet at Dave and Busters Friday night with a bunch of people from NSOP (my photography forum, it amazes me there are enough people there to have a meet…) We had an awesome dinner with 7 members, and another met us later (when he could get there). It was Matt’s birthday, so his wife surprised him with a cake, the waiters/waitresses all came out singing. We also snuck in a new camera lens he’s been wanting forever… From there we went on to have a great time playing all the arcade games they have there. Nikki even came out (35 weeks pregnant mind you!) and had a great time winning some tickets at the trivia game as well as on some other fun games. We still have no clue what we’ll get with the tickets, it’s all crap… I also played some of the more fun racing games they have there, but I got whooped my Matt at Mario Kart, then when Luca and I tried to play Daytona, somehow it ended up on the wrong track for me and we didn’t race each other… Then we also played 355 challenge (the best arcade sim out there, it has a clutch!) where I failed miserably… Apparently you actually need to use the brakes to slow down in that game…. Still a great time.
New Theme!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve put anything up…
I was sick of the plain old WordPress theme so I went ahead and found something better… It’s called tapestry. Brian Gardner designed it. He has a slew of very nice themes available on his site: www.briangardner.com/themes. Check them out if you’re looking for some fun stuff. I’m very tempted to buy his revolution theme for NewSchoolOfPhotography.com. That theme can be found here: www.revolutiontheme.com, but I’m enjoying having all my sites running with free ware…
NexGen Gallery Test…
I’m really liking the NexGen gallery software. It seems easy enough to use and I can insert pictures alone, or as a gallery. Here’s an old gallery from my Pbase account that I added recently of some great old shots from our wedding and honeymoon:
