Elias week 17 update!
Well Elias is getting bigger and more fun every day it seems. He’s now rolling over (when he wants) either way. His patterns are much easier to recognize for us which is great. He’s just becoming and awesome little dude that’s just fun to hang out with. Not that he wasn’t before, but the giggle & laughs to cries and poop ratio was a bit lower back then. He’s now grabbing onto things (I’m sure this won’t be so cute in the next few weeks) and will check them out in front of him. He can hold his head up forever, and he can sit up on his own for a little while. He also loves to kick his feet at this point. This week was also busy for me as the beginning of last week had the Bermuda race start (where my shots were featured on 3 different websites) then this past weekend was the local airshow. Check out those posts further down the page. Also, I’m on vacation this next week, so I’ll post and update at the end of the week, but hopefully I’ll have a bit more time to shoot.
RI Airshow 2008
Went to the RI Airshow on Saturday. We had a few members of my photography site come over to shoot it as well, then we had an awesome BBQ on the deck afterwards. We all had a ton of fun, and got some decent images even though it was hazy. Most of us also got sunburned pretty bad as well as we all forgot lotion in all the excitement. Enjoy the shots below!
Tuesday night mayhem?
Went out racing last night. Well “racing”. We drifted across the bay in NO WIND but actually, the boat sailed pretty well for the little wind we did have provided we kept it as heeled as possible. Our start was a non event with NO wind and we just sat there… There was an awesome storm system moving in the whole time and we sat…. and waited… and watched… and waited… Well then the wind filled in and we figured we should get back to the dock ASAP. We happened to go by photographer Amory Ross in his powerboat on the way back in and he shared some great shots he got of us with me. Thanks Amory!!! Be sure to check out his awesome site and his blog. He’s got some great shots from the Bermuda race start as well.
2 weeks late?
OK, I’m a little behind on the updates… sorry! It’s been super busy. We had Lora and Chris’ wedding last weekend with the rehearsal on Sunday and the Wedding on Monday. So with all the other things going on in our life as well as that I’m a little behind. These are most of the shots from the last 2 weeks. I’m missing a few days that are in the P&S (but I don’t know where that is and I don’t want to wake anyone looking). Also, for Friday’s shots, check my other site here as I shot the start of the Bermuda Race Friday afternoon.
Made it to Castle Hill to watch the start of the Newport to Bermuda Race. The bay was CROWDED and there were at least 4 helicopters flying. Made for an interesting day to say the least. It’s always fun to see who shows up boat wise for these things, but my highlight was the last start with both Puma and Speedboat on the line together in the open division. I’ve got all the images online in a gallery here if you’d like to buy a print of any of these shots.
