Funny cat “video”:
My wife sent this to me. It’s a pretty accurate version of what it’s like living with 3 cats:
and another from the same person:
BenJacobsenPhoto.com Business cards.
I got my first order from my photo website the other day. I figure that means it’s official enough I need business cards now. I whipped this up in photoshop, hopefully they look OK in person. Check out the gallery of all the versions I went through below, the last 2 are the front and the back. You can check out the site (and buy your very own prints) here:
November issue of Powder:
Another month, another issue of Powder. It’s getting closer to winter here. Can’t wait to get on the snow, but reading about it and drooling on pictures will have to hold me over for now.
Hartford Marathon
We went to the Hartford to watch on of our friends run in the race. Danielle’s goal was to qualify for Boston. To do that she had to run in under 3:40:59. She got 3:3x:xx. Not sure of the time, but she made it! We had a great time watching the race. It was fun for Nikki to see what it’s like not knowing when whoever you’re waiting for is coming. After the race we went out to a great place for lunch. It was deep dish pizza and it was awesome. It was also our 5th Anniversary so we went home and watched a fun movie together.
Sunday Nikki and I started the project that will be redoing the downstairs bath. We went to Home Depot to get everything we need (medicine cabinet, paint for another project, faucet and some fixtures). When we got home I got the old medicine cabinet out, but we realize I’m going to have to fill that hole to mount the new cabinet. We’ll be going to home depot one night this week to get the lights we want and a 30″ x 30″ piece of sheet rock to patch the hole. I hope by the end of this weekend to have this mostly done, and to also have the stairs project done.
After that we watched the end of the Packers game, the Patriots game, made some awesome Chili in the crock pot, and took some more belly shots. Not much for the weekend, but we still had fun.
Corn Maize.
Nikki has always wanted to go to the corn maize at Escobar’s farm in Portsmouth. This year we finally made the trip, and it’s actually a lot of fun. They’ve been doing this for 7 years, and each year it’s a different maize. This years maize is in the shape of a barn, silo and tractor. It’s also cut into two halves which is pretty nice as you get a check in point to know how lost you are, and you can also go to the bathroom or grab something out of the car at this point. We paid the extra $.25 for a map, and it was very easy to get through it that way. Not sure if it would be fun just wandering around w/o one, but that’s what a lot of people seemed to be doing.
