I’m in VT, playing with Ur MacBook!!!

Yeah, so here we are playing with Linnea’s MacBook. Or at least the macbook that’s here on the desk. It’s late Saturday night or maybe it’s already Sunday AM. We’re getting caught up over online image galleries (isn’t the internet wonderful?!). I’ll be sure to post more on Monday (night) with all the images of our trip up here to VT…

Off to Vermont!

We’re going up to Vermont to visit a great friend Linnea this weekend. I “grew up” in upstate NY so I’ve spent a lot of time in the area, but I don’t think I’ve been back to that neck of the woods in summer since 1991. I can’t wait to go back. We’re planning on stopping at the Shelburne Museum. I’ve loved that place for as long as I can remember. Linnea’s family works at Shelburne Farms, so that will also be a treat to see it from an insiders point of view. Hopefully we can get down to the lake and maybe even spot Champy…

Ski season?

Sept2007cover.jpg

Well it must almost be ski season. I got the first issue of Powder in the mail tonight. I really miss my beloved Freeze Magazine (I still have every issue). The ski movies should be coming out any time now. I already have an order in for PoorBoyz new movie. It should be here in a few weeks. MSP’s new film won’t ship until late September or early October, but I’ll also be picking that up. I love sailing, but skiing is my favorite sport… Can’t wait for snow.

New Theme!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve put anything up…

I was sick of the plain old WordPress theme so I went ahead and found something better… It’s called tapestry. Brian Gardner designed it. He has a slew of very nice themes available on his site: www.briangardner.com/themes. Check them out if you’re looking for some fun stuff. I’m very tempted to buy his revolution theme for NewSchoolOfPhotography.com. That theme can be found here: www.revolutiontheme.com, but I’m enjoying having all my sites running with free ware…

Fun in Block Island

246_1787.jpg

We finally made it out to Block Island for the first time this summer. My parents take their boat out every weekend. We have an open invitation to go anytime we want and we love it there… We just have a hard time finding time where we can get away for a whole weekend with out house schedule (honey do list!) and our social schedule. Moseley and I joined Mom and Dad for an adventuresome sail out on Friday night. Nikki caught an early ferry Saturday morning. We had 2 lovely days on the boat surfing, walking the beach, fishing, lobstering and just about anything else you’d want to do for fun on Block. Moseley loves it out there because he knows he will get walked on a beach at least 3 times a day. Dad I and went fishing with some new friends (that are sailing around the world, read about that here) and caught 13 fish. Unfortunately all the stripers were too short, but in total we caught 4 stripers and 9 blue fish. 7 of the blues were kept for lobster bait. Good thing too, because we caught one. Nikki and I got to keep it because I caught the fish, baited the traps, hauled them and cleaned the dinghy (Dad’s rules). We had a great time and hope to get out on the boat again soon.

Thanks M&D!
